Thanks Coleraine Men's Shed We Love Our Nesting Boxes

We loved how Graeme, Tom, Max and Neville from the Men’s Shed showed us how to build Nesting Boxes for the native birds at school such as Eastern Rosella, Crimson Rosella, Pardalote, Tree Creeper and Grey Shrike Thrush. DAYLIN

“ZZZ” went the screws into the Nesting Box, as we made the cutest Nesting Boxes for the Grade 6 students, who are
graduating, to leave at the school as their legacy. Charlotte, James, Eli and I made two boxes, one for a Tree Creeper and one for a Pardalote. The Pardalote one was mine and the best one of course! After we had crafted our lovely boxes we walked back to school carrying our boxes all the way up the hill and displayed the boxes we had made in the Hall. COREY

“BANG” went the hammer as it hit the wood today, down at the Men’s Shed. We went down to make Nesting Boxes and it was really fun and everyone enjoyed it. The box I made was for the Crimson Rosella. JAKEB

Making my end of year Nesting Box for a Tree Creeper was fun, with help from Gus, Bree and Jimmy. BEC

My highlight for the day was making my Nesting Box for the Eastern Rosella very successfully with the help of Neville and my friends. HUNTER F
