Today we participated in Schools Tree Day, by planting grasses, native shrubs and eucalypt trees in the south boundary garden. In an amazing effort, the senior students weeded, remodelled and mulched the sitting area under the redgum. They planted some climbers on the fence and some fragrant native shrubs and grasses in the area. They also prepared on area for the junior students to plant their grasses and bottlebrushes and climbers. It was a great effort by all the students to add more natives to our school grounds and to add to the biodiversity of our area.

Is School Tree Day welcomed by students? and is there a type of plant that will grow big later in the garden?
