Last year our junior students looked at how we could attract native bees and insects to our Indigenous Garden.
We planted yellow and purple flowered native plants in the garden and decided we needed a Bee Hotel for the bees and insects to lay their eggs and make their home.
The Student Council visited the Men’s Shed and talked to them about making a Bee Hotel for our garden. Last week Max Brown brought us the amazing Bee Hotel the talented men at the Men’s Shed made for us over the holidays.
We are very excited, as it’s now our turn to add the small sticks and bundles of bamboo that native insects can live in.
Max also brought the sample plant labels they made for our Indonesian Kitchen Garden project. They look great and we can’t wait until they are finished.
