At the end of last year we were excited to receive $500 through the Wannon Water’s Ripple Effect Community Grant program to assist us to install a watering system to make our veggie beds water wise. This will mean no more summer holiday watering!
We are now ready to begin the project to install the Watering System and the students are all very excited to get started. To start we need to have a Working Bee to empty the garden beds and dig the trenches for the pipes.
Supported by the School Council and Parents Association and we’ve decided to hold the first Working Bee on Sunday 16 May from 10.30 am for a couple of hours. Bring along any tools (shovels, spades, wheelbarrows etc) that will help us dig the trenches and empty the garden beds, Any old tarps to hold the garden soil would also be helpful.
If you can join us (even for only an hour) please email your RSVP to Karl at [email protected]
