OUR VISIT TO THE COLERAINE MEN’S SHED

17/8/2017

We had an amazing time down at the Men’s Shed on Thursday.  We learnt that they have lots of experience making things like spinning tops on the lathe, plastic name tags with the Pantograph and wooden shapes on the bandsaw.  ELI
We helped Don trace the letters for a wooden sign they were making.  They made us a name tag each and Graeme made some fantastic spinning tops for us on the lathe. JIMMY
We also talked to Tom about making Nesting Box Kits for our schoolyard  and showing us how to put them together here at school.  This will be a great community skill sharing activity and it will help us complete our  ResourceSmart Biodiversity module. Thank-you to Tom, Don, Graeme and all the other men who showed us their fabulous skills and made us feel so welcome.
