Unfortunately we have had to say goodbye to our chooks and chook yard..
We don’t want to put our food waste into Landfill and we were able to purchase a SUBPOD Worm Composting System to use our food scraps.
This week the seniors, did a fantastic job setting up and installing the SUBPOD with some worms into the Herb bed. Next week we will be able to start feeding the worms with our fruit and food scraps. The worms will eat the food scraps and will provide us with worm castings and compost that we can use in the veggie gardens to grow more food.
