Last week, LGB students planted four tomato plants provided by Coleraine Lions Club for their Tomato Growing
competition. While it might a bit too early to plant our tomatoes (we know Cup Day is the preferred day!) we are
taking our chances and have put tree guards around each plant to protect them from cold wind and frosts.
There are prizes for the first fruit and heaviest tomato and best collection of tomatoes. If anyone has any tomato
growing tips, we'd would love to hear them!
